Lesson Plan 2: Analyzing Rhetoric and Diction
In this lesson, students will:
Understand how particular rhetoric can shape the way a country, people, or religion is perceived, and why it is important to consider several perspectives to gain a fuller lens.
Contextualize the political and social warfare in A Thousand Splendid Suns from a “Western” point of view and juxtapose how its events are depicted in those sources versus in the novel.
